Westell BDA Level 2 Certification
Instructor: Tom Warfield – IBW Training Manager, Westell Technologies
Tom Warfield brings a career-long focus on RF engineering and electronics, with experience spanning the military, telecom, and public safety sectors. He holds NICET certifications for Levels 1, 2, 3, and Designer in In-Building Public Safety Communications (IB-PSC).
Tom has led training programs for industry leaders like SOLiD, Fiplex, and Westell, and has also taught electronics at the college level. His practical knowledge includes iDAS/oDAS systems, CW testing, and drive testing—giving trainees not just textbook theory, but applied skills they can use in the field.
He is also a contributor to the Complete ERCES Handbook and currently serves as the IBW Training Manager at Westell Technologies.

David Adams has more than 20 years of experience in wireless network performance, in-building coverage testing, and product development. He led the creation of PCTel’s award-winning public safety testing solutions, which are now trusted by installers and integrators nationwide.
In 2023, David was elected President of the Board of Directors at the Safer Buildings Coalition, where he continues to shape national ERCES standards. He’s also a contributing writer for the Complete ERCES Handbook and specializes in:
